The student Entrepreneurship Training camp was organised on behalf of the Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) of the Elumalai Polytechnic College, Villupuram. An Entrepreneur is one who has an idea and who works to create a product or service that people will buy, as well as an organization to support that effort. An entrepreneur takes on most of the risk and initiative for their new business and is often seen as a visionary or innovator.
If we want the Entrepreneurship Development Program to be successful, the trainers and facilitators have to be committed and provide an excellent quality service. With the help of the entrepreneurship development programs, the pace at which new ventures or businesses are created becomes a lot better than it was before the program.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP MODEL
In Elumalai Polytechnic, Villupuram, we are training our students to become future entrepreneurs by starting a small business according to their financial capacity. Sometimes they will be offered loan facilities from the Finance Department of Elumalai Polytechnic, Villupuram. This will enable them to take up the business and proceed with the sales and other allied business activities.
Three (03) students are allowed in a team of Young Entrepreneurs of the Elumalai Polytechnic College, Villupuram and so far 20 teams of the students were given opportunity and got their experiences as an entrepreneur. They have learnt a live experience of doing a business by facing the live experience of making profits or losses. But to mention here they have made profits out of their business in Elumalai Polytechnic College, Villupuram campus.
